Slitherine's tactical stealth game Stargate: Timekeepers is making the leap from PC to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, bringing SG-1 era strategy to your living room.

Chevron seven is locked, and the destination is your console! After a two-year exclusive run on PC, Slitherine Games has officially announced that Stargate: Timekeepers is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026.

If you missed it during its original 2024 launch, Timekeepers is a real-time tactical stealth game—think Commandos or Shadow Tactics—set right in the middle of the Stargate SG-1 universe. Picking up immediately after the epic Season 7 finale "Lost City" (the Battle of Antarctica), the game follows an original team led by Commander Eva McCain.

Instead of just blasting through Jaffa with P90s, the game requires you to sneak behind enemy lines, utilize the unique skills of each team member, and unravel a time-loop mystery that would make Jack O'Neill groan in frustration.

Why Console Matters For a long time, Stargate games have had a notoriously difficult history. (Remember Stargate Worlds? We try not to.) So seeing a fully completed, licensed Stargate title not only survive its PC launch but expand to consoles is a massive win for the franchise. It proves there is still an active, hungry audience willing to dial the gate in interactive media.

While the tactical stealth genre is traditionally a PC staple, games like Desperados III have shown that these titles can be adapted beautifully to controllers. Being able to command McCain's team from the couch is going to open up the game to a whole new wave of fans who prefer their offworld activations on the big screen.

No exact release date has been locked in yet beyond "2026," but this is fantastic news for anyone looking to fight the Goa'uld while we wait for the Prime Video live-action revival.

Prepare your DHDs, folks. The Stargate is opening again.
