On May 5th, 2026, Titan Magazines published Star Wars Insider #237 — the magazine's final issue. After an incredible 38-year run, the official chronicle of a galaxy far, far away is closing its pages.
If you grew up during the "Dark Times" — the years between Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace — you know exactly what Insider meant. Before Wookieepedia, before YouTube lore channels, and certainly before Disney+ drops, Star Wars Insider (and its predecessor, the Lucasfilm Fan Club magazine) was our HoloNet. It was the place you first saw the cast of Episode I, where you learned about the Expanded Universe authors who kept the flame alive, and where exclusive short stories expanded the canon in real-time.
Issue #237 arrives with three variant covers to celebrate its legacy, alongside an exclusive final interview with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. It’s fitting that the magazine bows out as we prepare for The Mandalorian & Grogu to return the franchise to the big screen. The landscape of fandom has changed. We get our news from social media drops and Celebration livestreams now. The slow, curated trickle of a print magazine simply belongs to a different age of the Republic.
But losing Insider feels like losing the Jedi Archives.
