Chevron Seven Is Locked For Summer: The Biggest Stargate Cast Reunions of 2026
Missing the Stargate cast? This summer is bringing the original teams back to Earth with Richard Dean Anderson, David Hewlett, and Rachel Luttrell headlining major conventions.
“Unscheduled offworld activation!”
We might still be two years out from the highly anticipated Amazon Prime Stargate revival, but that doesn't mean the gate is completely shut. If you’ve been feeling the itch to see some familiar faces—and maybe hear a sarcastic quip or two about Ancient technology—summer 2026 is shaping up to be an incredible season for Stargate fans.
While the internet has been buzzing with rumors of legacy cast members joining the new series' writers' room, some of the franchise's biggest icons have just been confirmed for major convention appearances. It's time to pack your field gear, because the teams are reuniting.
Shore Leave 46: The Pegasus Galaxy Returns
First up, we have an incredible Stargate Atlantis reunion happening at Shore Leave 46 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from July 10-12, 2026.
Former castmates David Hewlett (the brilliant but endlessly stressed Dr. Rodney McKay) and Rachel Luttrell (the fierce Athosian leader Teyla Emmagan) are officially headlining the event. It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly two decades since Atlantis first took us to the Pegasus galaxy. Whether you want to ask Hewlett about McKay's citrus allergies or Luttrell about her bantos rod training, this is a rare opportunity to see two of the most vital pillars of the Atlantis expedition back together.
Starfury Ascension: O'Neill is in the House
If you prefer your wormhole travel with a bit more dry humor and an obsession with The Simpsons, you'll want to point your coordinates toward the UK.
Starfury: Ascension is bringing none other than Richard Dean Anderson (General Jack O'Neill himself) to the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham from August 28-30, 2026. This three-day dedicated Stargate convention is already promising autographs, photo ops, and panels. Any chance to see RDA interact with the fandom is a treasure, especially as the franchise prepares to enter its next era. Will he drop any hints about a cameo in the Prime Video reboot? Probably not, but he’ll almost certainly make a joke about it.
The Fandom Is Alive and Kicking
What these announcements really prove is that the Stargate fandom never went dormant; it just waited out the long sleep. Between the arrival of Stargate SG-1 back on Netflix earlier this year, the impending release of the Stargate: Timekeepers game, and now these massive summer convention headliners, 2026 is feeling like the true renaissance year we've all been hoping for.
So, grab your P-90s, lock the seventh chevron, and start making your travel plans. I know I'll be watching the panel streams closely. Indeed.
